Northern Army Commander reviews operational and security situation in J&K

Lt General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, on Wednesday visited Srinagar and Nagrota and reviewed the operational and security situation with formation commanders.

The Army Commander undertook a comprehensive review of the operational and security situation. He engaged with formation commanders to deliberate on the evolving security dynamics and strategies to further strengthen multi-domain surveillance, enhance real-time intelligence integration, and maintain an unrelenting vigil. Emphasis was laid on synergised efforts to sustain peace, stability, and normalcy across Jammu & Kashmir.

“The Northern Command remains steadfast in its resolute commitment to ensuring the safety, security and well-being of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, while maintaining the highest standards of operational readiness”, a defence spokesman said.
