Why the sudden delay?

According to the production houses, the decision was taken because of the rising tensions in the Middle East. In a formal statement, they explained that the “current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East,” has impacted their plans to reach the widest possible audience.

The team said they had spent years working on the film and were excited to bring it to theatres in March. However, due to the present situation, they felt it was best to reschedule the release.

They added that the decision was difficult but carefully considered, keeping in mind both their partners and the audience worldwide.

The film will now release globally on June 4, 2026.

Promotions paused at the last minute

The delay came even though the team had already locked major promotional plans.

A grand trailer launch event was scheduled in Bengaluru on March 8, with media expected from across India. Everything was in place. The buzz had already started building.

Not just that, the film’s first song, titled “Tabaahi,” was ready and planned for release on March 2. But in view of the situation, the makers decided to pause all promotional activities.

A global release in multiple languages

‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ is set for a worldwide theatrical release. The film will arrive in English and several Indian languages.

It has been shot in Kannada and English. Dubbed versions will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam making it accessible to audiences across regions.

Star-studded cast and crew

The film features Yash in the lead role. He is joined by a strong ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria.
