Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati of the Jyotirpeeth is currently at the center of nationwide discussion. On Thursday, he made serious allegations, stating that no opportunity is being missed to defame a Shankaracharya.

He questioned the motive behind these actions. Responding personally, he said that the public is being deliberately drawn into the “Shankaracharya controversy” to divert attention from the globally discussed ‘Epstein Files.’

Shankaracharya further said, “The file reveals matters that are being discussed worldwide, but in India, it is being suppressed. Here, by fabricating a false case against the Shankaracharya, an attempt is being made to stop any discussion about the Epstein Files.”

Speaking to the media here and reacting sharply to the press conference by Ashutosh Brahmachari and the release of the investigation report, he asked, “How is a history-sheeter presenting a police investigation report? Has the Uttar Pradesh Police appointed him as its permanent spokesperson? This is a serious question.”

Responding to those who described the monastery as a “glass palace,” he said, “It is a good thing that glass ensures transparency. Anyone can easily see what is inside, so why should anyone object? This means nothing is hidden in the monastery. If government officials wish to inspect it, they can come at any time. There are no locks anywhere in the monastery, and all the doors remain open.”

Commenting on the controversy surrounding the Prayagraj Magh Mela and allegations that a Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh instigated his sit-in protest, Shankaracharya said, “Those making allegations sometimes link me with the Samajwadi Party and sometimes with the Bahujan Samaj Party, but they never mention the Bharatiya Janata Party. This indicates that the accuser belongs to the BJP and may be under pressure to clarify the party’s position.”

He further added, “At present, two types of BJP are visible. First, the traditional BJP, which stands with Hindus, and second, the one that is harassing people on the basis of a particular caste. Those accusing me belong to this ‘Bulldozer BJP.’”
