Bihar Tourism Department participates in SATTE 2026 in New Delhi

Tourism industry experts, professionals, buyers, and representatives from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Jordan, Malaysia, Maldives, Uzbekistan, Nepal, and various Indian states were provided detailed information about Bihar’s diverse tourist destinations including Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, Vaishali, Rajgir, and Patna, along with other tourism sites in the state.

The Bihar Tourism Department is actively participating in South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exhibition (SATTE) 2026 travel trade show, being held from February 25 to 27, 2026, at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi.

The theme of the event is “An opportunity called INDIA.” Tourism industry experts, professionals, buyers, and representatives from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Jordan, Malaysia, Maldives, Uzbekistan, Nepal, and various Indian states were provided detailed information about Bihar’s diverse tourist destinations including Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, Vaishali, Rajgir, and Patna, along with other tourism sites in the state.

On the first day, investors were informed about Bihar’s tourism policy through a PowerPoint presentation. Under the leadership of Joint Director Rajesh Roshan, the Tourism Department team — including Assistant Director Keshari Kumar, PRO Ravishankar Upadhyay, and departmental consultant Saurabh Kumar – showcased Bihar’s cultural heritage, religious tourism, eco-tourism, and adventure tourism opportunities at the department’s stall through attractive brochures, video presentations, and interactive sessions.

An inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of officials from the Union Ministry of Tourism and other dignitaries, with representatives from various states in attendance.

On the occasion, the Joint Director stated that participation in such global platforms is an effort to firmly establish Bihar on the global tourism map, which will help boost Bihar tourism in the coming time.

Department officials said that platforms like SATTE will play an important role in taking Bihar tourism to new heights in the future.
