Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Tuesday welcomed the decision of the Patiala House Court to send Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu Chib to four days’ police custody in connection with the alleged disruption caused by an Indian Youth Congress (IYC) protest at the AI Impact Summit, recently held in the national capital.
Sachdeva said the misconduct at the AI Summit, allegedly at the behest of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, was an attempt to tarnish India’s image.

“Those who attempted to defame India on the global stage now stand politically exposed themselves,” Sachdeva said.
He said the AI Summit was neither a programme of any political party nor of any individual, but an event showcasing India’s achievements before the world.
Sachdeva added that the summit was meant to highlight how Indian youth are bringing new innovations in artificial intelligence at national and international levels, demonstrating how the country is moving towards becoming a global leader.
“The actions of Rahul Gandhi’s supporters were shameful and clearly indicate the involvement of the Congress high command in this conspiracy,” the BJP leader alleged.
He further alleged that it is not a mere coincidence that whenever the country’s global image and prestige rise, the Congress and its supporting groups indulge in such acts.
