After the incident came to light, the school’s headmaster lodged a written complaint at the local police station. Based on a complaint, the police took swift action and arrested the accused teacher. During investigation, several students of the school confirmed that the teacher raised the slogan and recorded their statements before the police.
The schoolchildren also alleged that Mohammad Mansoor Alam had earlier made remarks claiming that “Pakistan is heaven”, which has further complicated the matter.

He added that such activities on the occasion of a national festival are extremely serious and would invite strict action as per the law.
