Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Samrat Choudhary has summoned Bihar Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, along with all police officers associated with the SIT, and directed them to provide a detailed briefing on the progress of the investigation so far, the evidence collected, and the future course of action.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Samrat Choudhary has summoned Bihar Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, along with all police officers associated with the SIT, and directed them to provide a detailed briefing on the progress of the investigation so far, the evidence collected, and the future course of action.

He has also sought clarity on the conclusions reached until now and the aspects of the investigation still pending.

During a visit to his home district Munger, Samrat Choudhary referred to the incident and acknowledged that an atrocity had been committed against the girl from Jehanabad. He said instructions had been issued to investigate every aspect of the case thoroughly.

“The police are completely independent to take action against everyone involved. I want to make it absolutely clear that those who are guilty will not be garlanded; instead, they will be punished,” he said.

He further stated that anyone who commits such a heinous crime against a young girl cannot be forgiven and that such people have no place in society.
