5-year-old allegedly raped by minor boy in MP

A 5-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 17-year-old minor boy inside a shop in a village in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh.

The police have taken the minor accused into custody on the complaint lodged by the victim’s parents on Saturday evening.

According to the police, the girl narrated her ordeal to her parents and informed them that her father had sent her to a shop to buy gutka for him.

She further said that the boy sitting in the shop scared her by saying that a dog standing behind her would bite her. He then called her inside the shop and allegedly committed the ghastly act.

The child also informed the police and her parents that the accused gagged her by putting his hand on her mouth when she screamed in pain.

According to Mahua Police Station in-charge Dharmendra Gaur, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS and POCSO Act against the minor accused and taken him into custody.

The police officer said that a medical examination of the accused would be conducted, and he would be produced before a juvenile court.

Further investigations are on in the matter.
