As preparations for UP Diwas 2026 enter their final phase, the focus at Rashtra Prerna Sthal will be firmly on showcasing Uttar Pradesh as a state that offers layered tourism experiences—spanning faith, heritage, nature and contemporary travel infrastructure.
From January 24 to 26, visitors will be able to explore the state’s tourism landscape through an immersive showcase curated by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest on the UP Diwas programme at the Prerna Sthal.
State Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said the department’s stall has been conceived as a comprehensive guide for visitors, presenting the breadth of Uttar Pradesh’s tourism offerings in one place.
Key attractions such as Magh Mela 2026, Bundelkhand’s heritage destinations, eco-tourism initiatives, heritage conservation projects and Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation’s initiatives, including the Lucknow Darshan electric double-decker bus service, will be featured prominently.
Projects developed under the public–private partnership model will also be presented, offering insight into the state’s expanding tourism infrastructure and investment ecosystem.
To engage younger audiences, the stall will also feature virtual reality experiences, allowing Gen Z visitors to explore Uttar Pradesh’s tourism circuits and traditional legacy through immersive digital storytelling.
Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs, Amrit Abhijat, said the tourism showcase at UP Diwas 2026 also reflects the spirit of this year’s National Tourism Day theme—‘Rural and Community-Centric Tourism’.
He said initiatives such as community-led Tharu tribal tourism in the Dudhwa region, rural eco-tourism circuits and locally anchored experiences will be highlighted to demonstrate how tourism is creating livelihoods while preserving cultural identity.
The UP Diwas platform, he added, brings together heritage conservation, eco-tourism, PPP-led development and community participation, presenting Uttar Pradesh as a state that is rooted in its traditions while confidently shaping a modern, inclusive tourism future.
