The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given ‘Border 2’ its certificate. The board did not ask for any cuts in emotional scenes, war sequences, or dialogues.

However, the CBFC did suggest a few minor but meaningful corrections, mostly to keep things accurate and respectful.

One of the first instructions was about Sunny Deol’s character. While fans already know he plays Fateh Singh, the CBFC asked the makers to clearly mention the full and actual name, Fateh Singh Kaler, in the film’s credits.
Another point was about visuals showing India’s national flag on war planes. As per certification guidelines, these visuals were replaced wherever they appeared in the film.
This was done without changing the story or the emotional impact of the scenes.
Here’s an interesting detail. The name of the warship shown in the film has been changed to “Kavach.” The update was made to follow official norms and avoid confusion with real-life military assets.
The CBFC also felt the information about the brave warriors deserved more attention. So, they asked the makers to increase both the duration and font size of these details on screen.
One careful question raised was about the emblem on the uniform, especially the one worn by Varun Dhawan’s character, Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya.
The producers double-checked. They confirmed the emblem’s accuracy with the Indian Army and even with the family of Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya. The verdict? Completely correct.
