Aamir Khan reacts to Sunil Grover’s mimicry act based on his public appearances and paparazzi interactions

If there was a national award for ‘making Aamir Khan laugh till he can’t breathe’, Sunil Grover would have walked home with it already.

On a recent episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, Sunil Grover slipped into his Aamir Khan avatar and completely stole the show. From the calm walk to the thoughtful pauses, from the simple clothes to that familiar way of talking to paparazzi, Sunil nailed it all.

The real Aamir Khan was sitting right there, watching his own mirror image crack jokes. Result? Non-stop laughter in the studio.

And clearly, Aamir is still not over it.

“Sunil Grover is so, so talented,” says Aamir Khan

Speaking to Free Press Journal, Aamir couldn’t stop praising Sunil. He called him “so, so talented” and made it clear that Sunil is much more than a mimic.

According to Aamir, Sunil doesn’t just copy voices or gestures. He goes deeper. He understands how an actor thinks, reacts, and behaves in real life. That’s what makes his performances special.

Aamir said Sunil studies how a person would respond to situations with words, expressions, and even silence. That extra effort is what makes audiences laugh harder.

Aamir also pointed out that Sunil is brilliant at mimicking many stars. Salman Khan, for example, is another favourite. Over the years, Sunil has entertained fans with his versions of Salman, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and many more.

But the recent Kapil Sharma show episode clearly hit a new high. Aamir admitted he was “in splits” watching Sunil perform and called him “a huge talent.”

Paparazzi, marriage jokes, and “knees bees Aamir”

In that episode, Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday were the guests. Sunil, dressed as Aamir, hilariously copied how the actor deals with photographers. He even joked about Kartik’s love life, asking why he hasn’t married even once yet.

Sunil also jokingly referred to himself as “knees bees Aamir,” adding his own comic twist to the act. The audience loved every second of it.

After the show, the fun didn’t stop. Aamir teamed up with Sunil for a promotional video for ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’. The video showed both of them arguing over who the “real Aamir” is. It was silly, sharp, and full of laughs.

A behind-the-scenes clip shared by Aamir’s team showed the actor’s priceless reaction to Sunil’s perfect imitation. Even Aamir looked impressed and slightly confused!
