PWL announces franchise line-up, ownership structure ahead of fifth season return

The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) on Thursday announced the franchise line-up and ownership structure for the upcoming fifth season.

The PWL said that six teams will participate in the fifth edition of the wrestling league: Delhi Dangal Warriors , Haryana Thunders, Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals, Maharashtra Kesari, Punjab Royals and UP Dominators.

The six franchises represent one India’s strongest wrestling regions.

The Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals franchise is jointly held by the Aspect Group and the APCO Group.

Maharashtra Kesari is led by the Sanraj Group, represented by Mr. Rajdip Gupta, Mr. Khistij Thakur and Mr. Dipesh Nirupam.

The Delhi Dangal Warriors franchise is represented by EaseMyTrip, led by its Founderand Chairman Mr. Nishant Pitti.

The Punjab Royals franchise is acquired by Mr. Dharam Pal Singh Rathi through the CDR Group. The UP Dominators franchise is led by Rubics Realty under the leadership of its Founder and Managing Director, Mr. Suhan Shetty.

The Haryana Thunders franchise is spearheaded by industrialist and philanthropist Mr. Vikas Parasrampuria.

Welcoming the franchise line-up, Dayaan Farooqui, Chairman, PWL, said, “This upcoming season marks a defining phase in the Pro Wrestling League’s journey. With stable and diverse ownership across all six franchises, we are doubling down on professionalism, structured athlete development, and long-term league building. Our focus is clear: put wrestlers at the centre, raise competitive standards, and position Indian wrestling with greater credibility on the global stage.”

The Pro Wrestling League is scheduled to return in January 2026, featuring top Indian and international wrestlers.
