The West Bengal garment industry comes alive with the 59th Garment Meet and B2B Expo being held over three days from 5-7 January at Science City.

This event, organised by the West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association (WBGMDA), which has been a pivotal part of the industry for 61 years, is expected to create significant business prospects. More than 1,000 national and international brands will be featured in this 59th Garment Buyers & Sellers Meet & B2B Expo, showcasing a wide selection of readymade garments for kids, men, and women, and it is projected to generate commercial dealings valued at around Rs 1,500 crore in the wholesale market.

The event was inaugurated by Sujit Bose, fire minister, Atin Ghosh, Deputy Mayor of Kolkata; Rehana Khatun, councillor & borough co-ordinator and many others.

Hari Kishan Rathi, WBGMDA president stated: “The expo is a testament to the strength, resilience, and growing global relevance of the garment industry in West Bengal.”
