Prof. Jai Prakash Saini appointed new Lucknow University Vice-Chancellor

Prof Jai Prakash Saini has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Lucknow University. An official order in this regard was issued from Raj Bhavan here on Saturday.

Governor and Chancellor of Lucknow University Anandiben Patel made this appointment using the powers vested in her under Section 12 of the Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973

According to the order, Prof Saini has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Lucknow University for a period of three years from the date of assuming office. Currently, he is serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur.

It is expected that Prof Saini’s appointment will give a new direction to the academic and administrative functions of Lucknow University. People associated with the education sector believe that his experience and leadership qualities will strengthen the university’s academic standards, research work, and administrative system.
