The visitors from far off places faced difficulties commuting due to the thick fog accompanied by clouds, resulting in increased the rising cold and dampness.

The light drizzle that started in the afternoon further caused inconvenience to the tourists. The sun did not appear in Agra throughout the day. Despite light rain and biting cold, tourists arrived here to see the Taj Mahal.

Every year, a large number of domestic and international tourists visit the Taj on New Year’s Day. This year too, long queues of tourists were witnessed at the eastern and western gates of the monument from early morning on the first day of the new year.
There was also a huge crowd at the ticket counters, although many tourists had purchased tickets online.
