The third round of the Vijay Hazare Trophy concluded on Monday across various venues, delivering several standout individual performances despite the absence of India’s biggest stars.
Much of the spotlight heading into the round was on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, but neither featured in the third round, as they are set to begin preparations for India’s ODI series against New Zealand in January.

Suryavanshi was recently honoured with the Rashtriya Bal Puraskar by President Droupadi Murmu and later met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Although reports had suggested he was not scheduled to feature in the remaining Vijay Hazare matches, the youngster took the field in this fixture and made an immediate impact.
