On the 143rd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, Bulandshahr district received a significant development boost. Uttar Pradesh’s Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 10 development projects worth over Rs 20.65 crore in the Shikarpur Assembly constituency.
Participating in a programme from his official residence in Lucknow, the minister said that Chaudhary Charan Singh, son of western Uttar Pradesh, dedicated his life to farmers, rural India and social justice. Following his ideals, the state government is ensuring balanced development across both rural and urban areas, with a strong focus on infrastructure, public amenities, and tourism-led growth.

The minister said that a decisive step has been taken towards strengthening tourism-led development in the Shikarpur Assembly area. Seven development projects, completed at a cost of more than Rs 17.96 crore, were formally inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for three new projects involving an outlay of over Rs 2.69 crore. Together, these initiatives amount to investments exceeding Rs 20.65 crore, aimed at improving tourism infrastructure, strengthening basic facilities, and expanding public amenities in the region.

As part of the completed works, tourism infrastructure has been strengthened at key local sites in and around the Shikarpur Assembly area. These include tourism development and beautification works at the Parshuram Check in Shikarpur, tourism development of the Rajghat Ganga Teerth area in Bulandshahr, and tourism development works at Maa Anandika Devi Temple, aimed at improving visitor amenities and overall experience.
Praising the consistent efforts of Shikarpur MLA Anil Sharma, the Tourism and Culture Minister said that under his leadership, the area is progressing rapidly on the path of development. He expressed confidence that these projects would give fresh momentum to regional tourism and open up new employment and livelihood opportunities for local youth.
Congratulating the people of Bulandshahr, the minister said the state government remains committed to honouring public trust and taking Uttar Pradesh to new heights in tourism, culture and overall development.
