The survivor in the 2017 actress sexual assault case on Sunday made a scathing social media post, stating the trial court verdict did not come as a surprise to her.
“Not every citizen in this country is treated equally before the law,” calling it her painful realisation after years of pain, tears, and emotional struggle,” the survivor said in the post.

The survivor in her post has strongly refuted the claims that Accused No. 1, Pulsar Suni, was her personal driver. The actor said she had met him only once or twice and never again until the day of the incident, urging people to stop spreading what she called “false stories.”

The actress then went to say the verdict may have come as a surprise to many, but not to her. According to her, she began sensing irregularities in the handling of the case as early as 2020. She added that even the prosecution had noticed changes in the conduct of the trial, particularly in relation to one of the accused.
“This verdict may surprise many people, but it did not surprise me. As early as 2020, I began to feel that something was not right. Even the prosecution noticed changes in the way the case was being handled, especially when it came to one particular accused,” she wrote in the post.
Reflecting on the prolonged legal battle, the survivor said the experience led her to a painful realisation that not every citizen in the country is treated equally before the law. She remarked that the verdict highlighted how human judgment can significantly influence judicial outcomes, while acknowledging that courts do not all function in the same manner.
She cited multiple reasons for distrusting the trial court, including the alleged illegal access of a memory card that was key evidence, and the resignation of two public prosecutors who described the court environment as hostile toward the prosecution.
“While I was fighting for a fair trial, the accused filed a petition requesting that this same judge continue to hear the case. This raised even more serious doubts in my mind,” she said.
The post says “December 12th 2025. After 8 years, 9 months, and 23 days, I finally saw a small ray of light at the end of a very long and painful journey. Six of the accused have been convicted, and for that, I am GRATEFUL!! This moment is dedicated to those who chose to call my pain a lie and this case a made-up story. I hope you are at peace with yourselves today!!
”And to those who still keep saying that Accused No.1 was my personal driver, this is completely false!! He was not my driver, not my employee, and not someone I knew. He was a random person who happened to be assigned as a driver for a movie I worked on in 2016!! Ironically, I met him only once or twice during that time, and never again, until the day this crime happened!! Please stop spreading false stories!!”
She wrote, ”Over the years, I approached the High Court and the Supreme Court multiple times, clearly stating that I did not trust this court. Every request to move this case away from the same judge was dismissed.”
Actress Manju Warrier also expressed support for the survivor in an Instagram post, highlighting that justice remains incomplete.
Warrier has reiterated that there is a conspiracy in the actress attack case. In the post, she said, ”Justice has not been served, and only those who committed the crime have been punished. It is a frightening reality that those who planned it are out there, and only if they are also punished will justice for the survivors be complete.”
