4th edition of Assam Rifles Sentinels Cup Football Tournament starts
The 4th edition of the Assam Rifles Sentinels Cup Football Tournament (Men & Women) 2026 was inaugurated on Tuesday at Shillong, Meghalaya.
Organized by the Sunrise Sports Foundation (SSF), the tournament saw enthusiastic participation from over 150 players across various gender and age categories.

The Northeast Badminton Tournament (NEBT), a premier sporting event celebrating the talent from India’s Northeast residing in the Delhi-NCR region, successfully concluded its 2025 edition on Sunday, at the Gymkhana AIIMS complex here.
Organized by the Sunrise Sports Foundation (SSF), the tournament saw enthusiastic participation from over 150 players across various gender and age categories. The event served as a vibrant platform for the community, highlighting competitive spirit, and fostering stronger bonds among the participants.

The NEBT perfectly aligned with the national goal of prioritizing fitness and a healthy lifestyle, making it a “true ambassador for the Fit India Movement”.

Spectators witnessed high-octane badminton action, characterized by fiery battles, prolonged rallies, powerful smashes, and masterful defense, underscoring the high level of skill among the players.
Beyond the court, the tournament successfully achieved its goal of showcasing the brotherhood and cultural unity among the participants representing the ‘Seven Sister States’ of Northeast India.
The closing ceremony was illuminated by the presence of several former Indian international badminton players and esteemed coaches, lending significant prestige to the event.
