It was a simple announcement about postponement and now has turned into a wave of unverified claims including allegations that Palash cheated on Smriti.
In the middle of the noise, someone close to Palash has now stepped forward to defend him.

The latest twist began when screenshots, shared by an Instagram user named Mary D’Costa, surfaced on Reddit. She claimed the images were from her private chats with Palash. Even though her account is now deleted, the screenshots continue to spread online. This added more fuel to the rumours.

Seeing this chaos, Palash’s cousin, Neeti Tak, issued a strong message in his support. Sharing a note on her Instagram Stories, she urged people to stop jumping to conclusions.

At present, Palash is admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. His sister Palak also confirmed the wedding delay recently and urged everyone to respect the families’ privacy.
The couple was supposed to get married on November 23, but everything changed on the morning of the ceremony. Smriti Mandhana’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suddenly fell ill and had to be rushed to Sarvhit Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Sangli. He was showing symptoms similar to a heart attack. But now media reports suggest that he is out of danger.
A day later, Palash also landed in the hospital. According to his mother, the stress around the situation affected him deeply. She revealed to Hindustan Times that Palash is extremely close to Smriti’s father, and the moment he learned of Shrinivas’ condition, he insisted that the wedding should not continue until he recovered.
She described Palash’s breakdown: “He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated. They kept him in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip, an ECG, and other tests. Everything came back normal, but the stress level is very high.”
Adding to the public curiosity, Smriti Mandhana recently deleted all wedding-related posts from her Instagram. Fans noticed the sudden change and began speculating about the reason.
Many assumed this might confirm the rumours, while others argued she may simply want to protect her family’s privacy during a tough period.
Smriti and Palash have been together since 2019. For years, they kept their relationship private and only made it official in July 2024 by sharing a special anniversary post celebrating five years together.
