President Droupadi Murmu will preside over the national observance of Constitution Day on Wednesday in the Central Hall of the Samvidhan Sadan, where she will digitally release the Constitution of India in nine Indian languages, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs said.
The newly released editions will be available in Punjabi, Bodo, Malayalam, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia, Marathi, Nepali and Assamese. The programme, which begins at 11 am, will open with a reaffirmation of constitutional values led by the President and joined by Members of Parliament.

Top constitutional authorities to attend the national programme
Vice-President and Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishna, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, senior Union Ministers and MPs from both Houses are expected to attend the ceremony.
The event will include addresses by the Speaker and the Vice-President, followed by remarks from the President.
Digital releases and commemorative booklet planned
As part of this year’s observance, the government will also release a Hindi commemorative booklet showcasing the calligraphy of the original Constitution, prepared by the Ministry of Culture. The ceremony will include a collective reading of the Preamble, led by the President.
Nationwide programmes from Panchayat to Parliament
Across the country, ministries, state governments, UT administrations and local bodies will hold a range of activities to mark Constitution Day.
Citizens will be able to:
- Participate in the online Preamble reading on MyGov.in and Constitution75.com
- Generate participation certificates
- Join national-level quizzes, essays, seminars and debates
- Take part in cultural events, exhibitions, poster and painting competitions, and Constitution-themed activities across institutions
The Ministry said Constitution Day 2025 is being marked as a nationwide celebration of constitutional values, bringing together Indians in India and abroad.
