President Droupadi Murmu will lead the Constitution Day 2025 celebrations on Wednesday, November 26, with the “National Function” scheduled to take place at the historic Central Hall of the old Parliament building in New Delhi.
On the occasion, the President will preside over the ceremony and address a gathering to mark the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly on November 26 1949.

Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chair CP Radhakrishnan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and several Union Ministers, Union ministers and members of parliament are also scheduled to attend the main event.
According to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Vice-President Radhakrishnan will also address the gathering.
As part of the event, the Legislative Department of the Union Law Ministry will release the digital version of the Constitution in nine languages — Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia, and Assamese.
During the event, the President will read the Preamble, followed by the launch of a commemorative booklet on calligraphy in the original Constitution.
General public will also be able to participate through the online reading of the Preamble on MyGov.in.
The government has decided to celebrate the occasion as a grand festival of democracy with a series of events and activities planned from Panchayat to Parliament level.
Several activities, including conferences, seminars, debates, short films, exhibitions, cultural programmes, and poster, painting and rangoli competitions will also be held nationwide.
