Season 5 Part 1 of ‘Stranger Things’ is coming out in a staggered release format. Netflix has planned a rollout across November and December 2025. This will lead up to the grand finale at the end of the year.

The first set of four episodes will drop on November 26, 2025 just in time for Thanksgiving Eve. After that, the next three episodes will be available on December 25, Christmas Day, and the final episode will premiere on December 31, New Year’s Eve.

Netflix has confirmed that Season 5 will consist of eight episodes in total. Each installment continues the ongoing saga of Hawkins, the Upside Down, Eleven, Vecna, and other beloved characters.
According to the creators, every major story thread, including Demogorgons, the Mind Flayer, and the ultimate battle for Hawkins, has been carefully concluded.

The final episode, ‘The Rightside Up’, will be a cinematic two-hour event. Runtimes for Episodes 5, 6, and 7 will be announced closer to their release dates.
For the very first time in the show’s history, the final episode will be screened in more than 350 theaters across the U.S. and Canada. Screenings will coincide with the Netflix drop on December 31 and will continue through January 1, 2026.
Set in the fall of 1987, Season 5 brings Hawkins under strict military quarantine. Vecna has disappeared, and the group must locate him before he unleashes further chaos. Meanwhile, Eleven goes into hiding as government forces intensify their search for her.
The story builds to a final showdown tying together years of mysteries, horror, friendship. Expect dramatic confrontations, heart-pounding suspense, emotional farewells as the series wraps up the journey of Hawkins and the Upside Down.
