As the campaign for the upcoming MCD by-elections in the 12 wards intensifies, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva, while addressing a conference at East Delhi’s Vinod Nagar on Friday, stated that across the country, the strength of women voters is becoming the true strength of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and women’s votes are emerging as a political strength of the party.
He claimed that when he meets people in different corners of Delhi every day, based on the interactions, he can confidently say that people have decided to make the BJP victorious in the upcoming municipal by-elections.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta addressed election gatherings in Chandni Chowk, Shalimar Bagh, and Ashok Vihar wards on Friday. While addressing people in Chandni Chowk, she said that the Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation is set to be restructured, and she herself will take charge as chairperson to oversee development work.

She asked the party workers to carry on with continuous public outreach, adding that it is needed so that when voting takes place, voters must come out in large numbers to cast their votes.
According to Gupta, earlier the BJP held 9 out of these 12 seats, but now the aim is to ensure that the lotus blooms on all 12 seats that are going for the by-polls.
Meanwhile, Delhi BJP Mahila Morcha president Richa Pandey Mishra also addressed corner meetings in support of Vinod Nagar ward candidate.
While in support of Dichaon Kalan ward candidate, Delhi Minister Dr Pankaj Singh and MLA Pawan Sharma addressed corner meetings at the Pharmacy College and Vijay Park areas.
Similarly, women’s conferences were held in Naraina, Shalimar Bagh, and Dichaon Kalan wards which were addressed by senior BJP leaders.
