A simple leaf, a silent problem, and a promise of relief. That’s the story Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has brought back into conversation. For years, millions of people across the world have struggled quietly with piles, fissure and fistula. These issues are painful, uncomfortable and often kept hidden because people feel too embarrassed to talk about them. At the same time, modern lifestyles have only made things worse. With the rise of processed food, oily snacks and sugary treats, and a sharp drop in physical activity, digestive problems have become extremely common.

In this backdrop, Baba Ramdev has shared a home remedy that he claims can bring powerful relief to patients. According to him, just three leaves of a common plant may help ease the discomfort of piles.

The plant he is talking about grows in many parts of India and is popularly known as Nagdon. People often notice a white, milk-like substance when its leaves or stems are broken, something that, he says, indicates its healing nature.

Ramdev explains that the remedy is very simple: pluck three fresh Nagdon leaves, and eat them twice a day, morning and evening. He says that following this routine regularly can bring major improvement and even help in chronic cases. According to him, patients who have been suffering for years might also find relief.

The yoga guru didn’t stop at this plant. He also mentioned two more easy methods that may help people experiencing pain due to piles.
One option, he says, is to mix lemon juice in a cup of cold milk and drink it. He claims this combination cools the body and reduces swelling in the affected area.
The second option is taking Triphala or Abhayarishta, both commonly used in Ayurveda to support digestion and bowel movement.

While Ramdev’s suggestions have gained attention online, health experts always advise caution. Home remedies may work for some, but they also may not suit everyone. Digestive and rectal problems can also have different causes, and sometimes they need proper medical treatment.
