When the complainant met the Social Security Officer, the officer allegedly demanded an illegal gratification of ₹10,000 to close the proceedings,” a CBI official said.
After negotiation, the accused agreed to reduce the amount and accept ₹9,000.
The CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while he was demanding and accepting the bribe.
