Quoting Rai’s iconic words, Kharge posted on X, “Every stick that falls on my body will prove to be a new nail in the coffin of the British Empire.”
Lala Lajpat Rai, affectionately known as ‘Punjab Kesari’ and ‘Sher-e-Punjab,’ played a pivotal role in India’s struggle for independence. He was a key leader of the Indian National Congress and a vocal advocate for Hindu-Muslim unity and social reform.
