The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat said India (Bharat) is capable of leading the world in bridging the gap between developed and undeveloped and finding answers to the unresolved issues and question those have hindered the realisation of goal of the ‘internationalism’ — the international unity.

Delivering Deendayal Upadhyaya memorial oration here on Saturday, Bhagwat said, “The tenets of Sanatan Dharma and philosophy of Ekatmak Manav Darshan have answers for those issues and questions that have proved the entire progress and development of the humanity incomplete and unbalanced despite attainment of the peaks in different arenas”.

Highlighting the tennets of Sanatan Dharma. the RSS chief precisely defined it in global perspective without wrapping it into religion, faith and communalism. The tennets of Sanatana dharma, with answers to unsolved issues — questions existed since ages and is still relevant today. It perceives as interrelated every creation of nature — living as well as non living ones. These exist in inclusive life — in the quest of the ultimate form (salvation) abiding by strict discipline of the nature.

He said, “Prime tennet of Sanatana is the Dharma and the very thought of Sanatana is the Ekatmak Manav Darshan”.

To explain the theme of the oration and it’s significant, the RSS supremo said, “The science and technology and other streams of knowledge have enabled the humanity to lead a luxurious life with wealth and all physical comforts and also with intellectual contentment. However, this is not the ultimate goal of the human beings’ aspirations, this constituted only one dimension of it, because, as the comforts, luxury achieved as much the sense of wantings also arose, he said.

Elaborating on his point, Bhagwat said, the progress in science, especially life science, brought several new medicines for many incurable situations, however, new sort of ailments-diseases have also cropped up, some diseases are caused by medicines itself, he said.

Moreover, this progress — development — did not reach to entire humanity, only around 4 per cent of rich human population are beneficiaries while 96 per cent leading life in woeful poverty.

This huge bay between the rich and the poor did not restrict itself at the level of individuals or communities, it in turn has given rise to rivalry — in the form of growing aggressive nationalism — among nations. This has caused two world wars, even today, this nationalism centric rivalry has been matter of concern for all as it threatens sense of acrimonious situation similar to one prevailed during the wars.

In this situation, the international community obviously made efforts to bring togather the world nations and to strengthen thought of internationalism. Discussions dialogues held for long for bringing peace in the world but without concrete efforts.

This constituted concerning situation where the science technology creating amenities for physical comforts and luxurious life, but putting in peril the peace and existence of the human beings for whom all efforts have been made.

Here at this juncture, the world looks at India to find causes and solution to the problems and answers to the unresolved issues and questions.

“The people from five continents do come to visit and study our (RSS) works and the impact of that on our social, economic and cultural life. They used to praise our family and societal institutions and the philosophy of Ekatmak Manav Darshan”, Bhagwat said.

The world has faith in our philosophy, culture, also in the capability of our doctors, engineers and intellectuals, he said adding besides our perception of nationalism also is not hostile to others”.

He concluded saying, “India (Bharat) is destined to show path to the world. This is the nature given role to India and the nature would not allow her to deviate or desist from this role”.
