Medical student jumps to death from Indore hostel, no suicide note recovered

Aneesh George, a peon at Kunnaru UP School, was currently working as a booth-level officer. It is reported that Aneesh had told his family and friends about the extreme stress at work. The State Election Commission has sought a report from the District Collector. However, the State Election Commission said that the commission has not received any complaint regarding work pressure so far. The Election Commissioner added that there is no need for work as the BLOs were not given any other work for 31 days.

In this connection, the CPM has come out with strong criticism against the Central Election Commission over the suicide of BLO Aneesh George. MV Jayarajan said that holding local body elections and updating the voter list simultaneously is putting a lot of pressure on the employees.
Meanwhile, the Congress has alleged that BLO Aneesh George was threatened by the CPM It is alleged that he committed suicide out of this. The Congress has reportedly filed a complaint with the Election Commission. The Congress has demanded that the Election Commission conduct an investigation into the suicide of Aneesh.
The Payyannur police have registered a case of unnatural death. Meanwhile, BLOs across the state will abstain from duties on Monday following the suicide of BLO Aneesh George.
