The Tis Hazari Courts in Delhi has issued an order restraining Jainendra Kumar and others from carrying out any unauthorized construction on a disputed open green area in Sanjay Nagar.

The order was passed in response to a suit filed by the Bram Health Care Pvt. Ltd., which operates the NKS Super Specialty Hospital.

Advocate Vishnu Joshi, who was appearing for the Health Care, argued that the defendants were illegally constructing government, public, and agricultural land located near Gate No. 4 of the hospital, opposite an MCD park.

Vishnu Joshi said Jainendra Kumar is the son of a retired judge who is carrying out the illegal constructions.

The court noted the plaintiff’s submission that despite a “work stop notice” being issued by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to the local police on October 13, 2025, the unauthorized construction activities continued. Photographs submitted by the hospital were cited as prima facie evidence of ongoing work.

In its ruling, the court deemed it fit to restrain the defendants from continuing the construction until the next date of hearing (NDOH).

The MCD has been directed to inspect the property and file a detailed status report, including measurements and photographs, by November 17.
