Classic fear-mongering, should stop selling panic: BJP slams Rahul Gandhi over ‘economic tsunami’ remark
Despite facing multiple black swan events, India has continued to remain the world’s fastest-growing major economy, Amit Malviya said.
“Narendra Modi’s face appears in the media 24 hours a day because they pay for it. Nothing is happening for free,” Rahul said.
Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi on Friday claimed that the BJP pays TV channels for showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s face 24 hours.
“Narendra Modi’s face appears in the media 24 hours a day because they pay for it. Nothing is happening for free,” he said.

The Leader of Opposition also slammed the BJP for allegddly waiving the bank loans of big businessmen, including the Adani and Ambani.
He said that farmers, labourers, weavers, and ‘makhana’ (fox nuts) farmers of Bihar do not get loans from banks, nor is their debt waived. However, Adani-Ambani get loans worth lakhs and crores, and their debt is easily waived off.
“I want to ask the public here – Has the BJP government ever waived the debt of farmers, laborers, weavers, makhana farmers?” the Congress leader asked.
He also accused Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of “stealing votes”.
“Earlier, we didn’t have any evidence of ‘vote stealing’, but now we have all the evidence backed by data. That’s why I’m saying that there is a government of thieves in Haryana,” he alleged.
Launching a counter attack on the BJP over its charge of dynastic politics against the Congress and its Bihar ally RJD, Rahul highlighted the appointment of Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah as ICC chairman.
“Amit Shah’s son doesn’t even know how to hold a cricket bat, but he’s the chief of the cricket board — he controls cricket,” Rahul added.
