Making an impassioned appeal to the youth of Bihar for a regime change, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday asked them whether they wanted jobs or social media reels.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claims of making cheap internet data available to youth with which they can create and watch reels, Gandhi asked the youth, “Do you want to watch reels round the clock, or do you want jobs?”

Addressing a massive gathering in Aurangabad, he observed that instead of marketing the cheap data, the Prime Minister should have spelt out how he would provide employment, education, and better healthcare to people.
The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha asserted that the INDIA bloc was certain to form the government in Bihar, which will be an inclusive and representative government, including everyone like the extremely backward classes, backward classes, Dalits, Maha Dalits, minorities, and the general category.
However, he also cautioned people against “the attempts being made by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to steal the Bihar election the way they stole the Lok Sabha elections and those in Maharashtra and Haryana.” He expressed confidence that the well-aware and alert voters of Bihar will not let the BJP steal elections in the state.
Making a personal guarantee to the people of Bihar, Rahul Gandhi said that once the INDIA bloc government is formed at the Centre, Bihar will have one of the world’s best universities, on the lines of the ancient Nalanda University, where people from across the globe will come to study.
He accused the BJP of spreading the venom of hatred across the country. “India is the land of love and this country cannot be run on hatred,” he said, adding that particularly the people of Bihar know it better than anyone else. He referred to his popular slogan, ‘nafrat ke bazaar mein, mohabbat ki dukan’ (a shop of love in the market of hatred), drawing thunderous applause from the crowd.
The senior Congress leader said that even after being in power for 20 years, Nitish had not done anything other than turning Bihar’s talented youth into labourers, forcing them to do menial work across the country.
Rahul Gandhi said Nitish Kumar was just the mask of the government while the actual control was with Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. His remote control is in their hands, and they make him act at their will, just like changing channels with a TV remote, he said, referring to Nitish Kumar’s complete surrender to the BJP, Modi, and Shah.
