A local political observer in Maharashtra, Anil Thatte, shared a controversial social media post on the health of Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut’s health on social media, claiming that Raut is ailing from intestinal cancer due to a political leader from the Konkan region performing a back magic ritual.

Significantly, the chief party spokesperson of Uddhav-led Sena who had announced that he has taken a two-month break from public life, has not reacted to the social media post, nor mentioned anything about his ailment so far. However, Thatte’s post on social media called ‘Sanjay Raut: Aghori angle of serious illness’ has gone viral on the internet.

“Sanjay Raut has intestinal cancer. It was detected at an early stage and Chemotherapy is on. It will take 3 to 6 months. There is talk on social media that a leader from Konkan who believes in witchcraft has done ‘karani’ to Sanjay Raut. It is true that 90% of all political party leaders in Maharashtra believe in black magic despite the existence of the Superstition Eradication Act. I know political leaders who spend lakhs of rupees to get ‘karani’ rituals done and also to reverse its effect”, Thatte posted.

“Sanjay Raut himself used to accuse some political leaders of sacrificing 56 red cows to Goddess Kamakhya. However, though Sanjay Raut believes in God, he does not believe that such acts could be done,” Thatte wrote in his social media post.

“Once I told Sanjay Raut a story which Jyotirbhaskar Jayant Salgaonkar told me and he was stunned. Salgaonkar told me that one morning he woke up and realised that he was dying. Jayant Salgaonkar himself was an extraordinarily powerful tantric. I have told you how my connection with the late tantric Chandraswami came about because of Jayant Salgaonkar,” Thatte posted.

“So, Salgaonkar started the process of reversing the act done to him. Salgaonkar’s Aghori Vidya Sadhana was so supernatural that he knew who was doing the act to kill him and from where. He completed the process of reversing the act and said that a certain person in Chiplun just did a ritual to kill him, but he was careful and reversed the effect of the act. Salgaonkar asked me to call up Chiplun and confirm whether a particular person has died,” Thatte posted.

“When I called up Chiplun, I found out that the person concerned had actually died suddenly in the morning after vomiting blood. I told this to Sanjay Raut who became upset. I also find superstition inappropriate, but I can name many such incidents, some of which are narrated by VIP witnesses,” Thatte wrote in his post.

“Whatever it is, our Sanjay Raut should get well soon. I believe in Mahamrityunjaya Mantra and I have requested venerable Virkar Guruji, who is famous as Dharmacharya in Thane and performs religious rituals in VVIP circles, to conduct a session of Mahamrityunjaya Mantra for Sanjay Raut. I believe that Sanjay Raut will be safe and sound. He will get well soon. Please do not call up Sanjay Raut but send your best wishes to his MLA brother Sunil Raut via WhatsApp,” Thatte wrote in his social media post.
