Taking to social media, Shah Rukh expressed his regret: “Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me. My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues.”
Fans travel from all corners of the country to be part of this annual celebration creating enormous crowds. For authorities, these are difficult to manage. Safety for both the superstar and the fans became a top priority which is why the usual balcony greeting had to be canceled.
Not letting his fans down completely, Shah Rukh arranged a private, closed-door fan event in Mumbai. At the intimate gathering, he charmed everyone in his signature style wearing a grey beanie and glasses.
SRK also shared a heartfelt video on his Instagram and X, showing himself surrounded by a cheering crowd. In the theatres and at the next birthday. Love u…”
Following the indoor event, Shah Rukh stepped outside for a brief moment to greet fans waiting near the venue. In an exclusive video captured by IANS, he was walking behind barricades waving at his admirers. The crowd’s excitement quickly grew intense with some fans trying to get close to touch or shake hands with him. Security personnel acted swiftly to prevent any mishaps ensuring that the actor was escorted safely away.
