Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi reviewed the current fertilizer availability in the state with departmental officials on Sunday and assured farmers through his social media platforms that adequate fertiliser is available in the state, which is being distributed to farmers in proportion to their land holdings.

Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi reviewed the current fertilizer availability in the state with departmental officials on Sunday and assured farmers through his social media platforms that adequate fertiliser is available in the state, which is being distributed to farmers in proportion to their land holdings.
Reviewing this, he said that adequate availability of fertilizers has been ensured in the state for the Rabi 2025-26 season.

According to the MFMS portal, a total of 35.68 lakh metric tons of fertilizer has been received as of November 2, 2025, of which 9.77 lakh metric tonnes have been sold. Thus, a stock of 25.91 lakh metric tons of fertilizer is available in the state to meet the needs of farmers. This is 1.59 lakh metric tonnes more than the 24.32 lakh metric tonnes available during the same period last year.

He stated that the availability and distribution of fertilisers for the Rabi season are being continuously monitored. Currently, 4.35 lakh metric tonnes of DAP is available, which is 1.94 lakh metric tonnes more than the same period last year. Besides, 4.80 lakh metric tonnes of NPK is available, which is 2.60 lakh metric tonnes more than the same period last year. Urea availability is 12.71 lakh metric tonnes. Similarly, Single Super Phosphate(SSP) availability is 3.03 lakh metric tonnes, and Muriate Of Potash (MOP) availability is 1.02 lakh metric tonnes. Of this, cooperative societies have 5.27 lakh metric tons of urea, 1.80 lakh metric tonnes of DAP, and 1.13 lakh metric tonnes of (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium (NPK).
The Agriculture Minister appealed to farmers that adequate fertilisers have been made available at committees and sales centres, so instead of standing in large queues, farmers can visit committees or private shops at their convenience to purchase fertilisers. All farmers will be provided with fertilisers according to their land holdings, he said.
