Indian playback sensation Sunidhi Chauhan is set to light up the DY Patil Stadium on Sunday, when India and South Africa meet in the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 in Navi Mumbai. The award-winning singer will headline the mid-innings show with a high-energy medley of her most popular hits, backed by 60 dancers and an elaborate special-effects stage production choreographed by Sanjay Shetty.
The entertainment lineup for the final features a laser display, a drone show, and a 350-member cast performing a synchronised stadium spectacle, making it one of the most elaborate halftime presentations ever staged at a women’s cricket event.

Sunidhi will also perform the Indian national anthem ahead of the toss, while South Africa’s anthem will be sung by Cape Town-based vocalist Tarynn Bank.
Speaking ahead of the event, Sunidhi said she was thrilled to be part of a landmark occasion for the sport. “It’s an honour to be performing at the Women’s World Cup, and I’m really looking forward to the big day,” she said. “With India in the final and the stands packed with enthusiastic fans, I’m sure the atmosphere will be electric. It’s going to be a moment all of us remember for a long time.”
With more than 50 million records sold worldwide and a career spanning over two decades, Sunidhi remains one of India’s most recognisable and versatile voices. She shot to fame at 13 after winning the televised talent show Meri Aawaz Suno — judged by Lata Mangeshkar — and soon after delivered her breakout hit Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi in Mast.
Since then, she has earned multiple national and international honours, appeared four times on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list, and made history in 2015 as the first Indian female singer to open for Coldplay in New York.
Her most recent global tour, I AM HOME (2023), included sold-out shows at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena, London’s Wembley Arena, Singapore, Kolkata, and major U.S. venues including the Long Beach Convention Center and Hard Rock Live in Hollywood. She has also been a mentor-judge on reality shows like The Voice India and Indian Idol, shaping a new generation of performers.
