Referring to the incident involving a dalit elderly man in Kakori, Lucknow, he said, “This reflects the mentality of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the BJP. The entire country has seen how RSS members are treating the elderly. Dividing society is their long-standing policy of politics.”

Rai also commented on the situation in Bihar. He said, “There is complete jungle raj in Bihar. The government has implemented prohibition, but today alcohol is easily available in any hotel. The NDA government is encouraging liquor smuggling in Bihar. The only employment provided to Bihar is liquor smuggling.”
Both the government and the police there are involved in the sale of liquor.
He said that the great festival of Chhath has begun today. In Kashi, sewer water is being piped into the Ganga. The arrangements made at the ghats for Chhath are no secret. He alleged that the BJP begins to see infiltrators during elections.
