The South Central Railway (SCR) on Wednesday announced special trains between Secunderabad and Hazrat Nizamuddin between October 28 and November 4 to clear extra rush of passengers during the ongoing festive season.
The SCR stated that the Secunderabad-Hazrat Nizamuddin will be operated on October 28 and November 2, while the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Secunderabad will run on October 30 and November 4.

These special trains will stop at Medchal, Kamareddi, Nizamuddin, Basar, Mudkhed, Nanded, Purna, Basmat, Hingoli, Washim, Akola, Malkapur, Khandwa, Itarsi, Narmadapuram, Rani Kamalapati, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Gwalior, Dhaulpur, Agra Cantt and Mathura stations in both directions, the SCR said.
These special trains will consist of 1AC, 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class Coaches.
Meanwhile, Northern Railway’s Delhi Division has made extensive arrangements for the convenience of travellers, including those from the eastern part of the country traveling during the Chhath festival.
“Today, 28 special trains (9 from New Delhi, 6 from Anand Vihar Terminal, 5 from Shakur Basti, 4 from Delhi Junction, 2 from Hazrat Nizamuddin, 1 from Shamli, and 1 from Rohtak) are being operated from major railway stations in the Delhi region. Tomorrow, on 23rd October, 17 special trains are scheduled to operate from major stations in Delhi,” Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer, Northern Railway, said.
Based on monitoring of passenger traffic at major stations in Delhi region, a special Train on Demand (New Delhi-Darbhanga) was run today (13:20 hrs).
Additionally, Trains on Demand are being run to meet passenger demand, and more of these are being planned as required. DRM, ADRM, and senior officials are monitoring the traffic at major stations.
