Jacob Elordi has set the excitement soaring among ‘Euphoria’ fans with his latest update on the show’s long-awaited season 3. Speaking to ‘Variety’ at the Academy Museum Gala, the actor, who plays the troubled Nate Jacobs, hinted that the new chapter will take the hit HBO series to an entirely new level.
“It was incredible, man. It was incredibly liberating,” Elordi said with a smile. “I got to play something so far out from what I’ve done before.”

Without revealing too much, the Australian star teased that creator Sam Levinson has crafted something “incredibly clever and cinematic.” According to him, Season 3 will surprise fans not just with its storylines, but with the way it’s shot and presented. “It looks beautiful,” he added revealing that the team used different types of film stock this time to achieve a fresh visual tone.
When asked about his character’s arc, Elordi admitted that the actors on ‘Euphoria’ are often left in the dark about each other’s storylines. “Everybody shoots different storylines. I don’t know what anyone else is doing,” he said. “It’s like FBI files. So I get to experience the show as a fan this time which is really exciting.”
That sense of mystery has become part of ‘Euphoria’s’ charm. The series, which first premiered in 2019, follows a group of high school students as they deal with love, trauma, addiction, and identity in a raw, stylized world. At its core is Rue, played by Zendaya, a recovering addict trying to stay clean while navigating her complicated life.
With two acclaimed seasons already behind it, ‘Euphoria’ has become a cultural phenomenon earning 25 Emmy nominations and taking home nine wins including two for Zendaya’s performance.
Alongside Elordi and Zendaya, Season 3 will see the return of familiar faces like Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Eric Dane, and Martha Kelly. The new season also welcomes an impressive list of newcomers including Bella Podaras, Cailyn Rice, Bill Bodner, Danielle Deadwyler, Colleen Camp, Eli Roth, Hemky Madera, Jack Topalian, Sam Trammell, and internet personality Trisha Paytas.
After an extended three-year break, the Emmy-winning series finally resumed production in February 2025. ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 is going to premiere in spring 2026 on HBO.
