‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ first hit theatres on July 10, 2015. Audiences across India and soon across the world were left awestruck. With Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia leading the cast, and of course SS Rajamouli at the helm, the film tremendously broke language barriers. It redefined what Indian cinema could achieve.

Two years later, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ (2017) shattered every box-office record imaginable. Made on a budget of ₹250 crore, it grossed an unbelievable ₹1,800 crore worldwide. It went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. And, it also became the first Indian film ever to cross the ₹1,000 crore mark. This feat remains unmatched in India even in 2025.
