NSG has set gold standard in combat excellence, says Amit Shah; announces new hub in Ayodhya

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah, on Thursday, extended greetings to the National Security Guard (NSG) on its Raising Day. He offered salutations to the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice while fulfilling their commitment to the nation.

He stated that NSG has set a gold standard in combat excellence by securing our nation with unwavering valour and sacrifice.

In a post on X platform, Home Minister Shah said, “Greetings to the NSG personnel on their Raising Day. They have set gold standard in combat excellence by securing our nation with unwavering valiance and sacrifice. Salutations to the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice while fulfilling their commitment to the nation.”

The day commemorates the founding of the NSG, India’s elite counter-terrorism force, in 1984. The force is popularly known as the “Black Cats” and is recognised for its swift and precise anti-terror operations.

Addressing the 41st Raising Day of the National Security Guard at its headquarters in Manesar, Haryana, on Tuesday, Shah said the NSG has been at the forefront in combating organised crime and terrorism in the country.

He announced that the National Security Guards will establish a hub at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

“So far, five hubs of the NSG have been established in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad (Gandhinagar). In addition, a new hub is also going to be set up in Ayodhya. Here, the NSG personnel will be deployed and available round the clock,” he said.
