Choreographer, filmmaker, and now vlogger Farah Khan just gave her fans a trip down memory lane when she was a background dancer. She recently shared an old video clip from her early days in Bollywood, reminding everyone where her journey first began.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Farah reposted a rare video of herself performing as a background dancer in the 1987 film ‘Jalwa’. Sharing the post, she wrote, “Oh my god, now that’s a blast from the past #Jalwa.”

The clip features Farah dancing in the song ‘Feeling Hot Hot Hot’, which starred Archana Puran Singh in the lead. Dressed in white, Farah can be seen grooving energetically among the background dancers.
Back then, Farah Khan was just starting out in the film industry, taking up background dancer jobs. Few would have guessed that this young dancer would one day go on to choreograph some of Bollywood’s biggest chartbusters.
Her real break came in 1990 when she choreographed the dreamy song ‘Pehla Nasha’ from ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’. The song became an instant classic. From there, there was no looking back.
In the years that followed, she created magic on screen with dance numbers like ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’ and ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ from Hrithik Roshan’s debut film, and of course those peppy tracks from ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.
By 2004, Farah had set her sights on something bigger: directing. Her debut film ‘Main Hoon Na’ starring Shah Rukh Khan became a huge hit.
Years later, she gave Bollywood another gem, ‘Om Shanti Om’. The film also launched Deepika Padukone into stardom. Later came ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and ‘Happy New Year’, both full of glitz and fun.
After decades of choreographing and directing, Farah has found a new way to entertain people through her YouTube channel and Instagram vlogs.
