Following the historic success of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025, the state government is now organizing “Swadeshi Melas” in all 75 districts of the state from October 9 to 18, 2025. This event will prove to be a major step towards realizing the resolve of a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh and a self-reliant India.
During a press conference held here on Wednesday, Rakesh Sachan, Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Khadi, Handloom and Textiles, stated that Brand Uttar Pradesh achieved unprecedented success in the recently concluded third edition of the UP International Trade Show, held at the Greater Noida Expo Mart from September 25 to 29. The event showcased the state’s strengths, rich traditions, and production capabilities to the world. Over 2,200 stalls showcased innovative products and initiatives from government departments, entrepreneurs, artisans, exporters, and craftspeople.

During this period, over 500 foreign buyers from over 80 countries expressed interest in Uttar Pradesh’s industries. Over five lakh visitors visited the fair, and business inquiries worth approximately ₹11,200 crore were received, a testament to the state’s industrial potential.

He stated that the success of the Uttar Pradesh Trade Show has infused new energy into the state’s industrial sector.
This state-wide “Swadeshi Mela” is being organized to disseminate this information to the public and promote indigenous products following the Goods and Services Tax reforms. These fairs will provide a platform for local artisans, entrepreneurs, self-help groups, handicraftsmen, and rural industries to showcase their art and products. He stated that these fairs, to be held in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh before Diwali, will transform the “Vocal for Local” campaign into a mass movement. This will give a new direction to both the rural and urban economies.
