The marital discord between Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh and his wife Jyoti Singh is poised to enter the political arena as the actor’s father-in-law has decided to take up the matter with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Rambabu Singh, the father of Jyoti Singh who arrived here on Tuesday, said he would meet Yogi Adityanath to demand justice and respect for his daughter. He is expected to meet the chief minister, along with his daughter, soon.

Rambabu says he has come to Lucknow not for any political or personal reasons, but as a father, to plead for his daughter’s respect and safety. He said his daughter had come to talk to him, but they did not engage in a conversation, instead sent the police. When the police arrived and began taking his daughter away, she asked, “What is my crime?”

Earlier, a video of Rambabu had gone viral on social media in which he is seen pleading to CM Yogi Adityanath for justice, his daughter’s life.
In the video, he is seen pointing out that the core motto of Yogi’s party is “Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter”. “My daughter is facing a very difficult time today. She is suffering. I am also ill. I am here today, but I will not be here tomorrow. What will happen to my daughter like this? Get her justice. This is our demand,” he pleads with the CM.
It is noteworthy that the family dispute is continuously escalating. Last Sunday, Jyoti Singh broke down during her visit to the actor’s home in Lucknow. She made several allegations against Pawan Singh live on social media. She stated that she was not being allowed inside the house and that the police have been called to drive her away.
Responding to the allegations on social media. Singh wrote, “I know only one thing in my life: the public is God to me. Would I hurt the sentiments of all of you, who have helped me reach this position?”
In a viral video, he said, “Jyoti Singh, isn’t it true that yesterday morning, when you came to my society, I respectfully invited you to my house and we talked for about 1:30 hours. Your only insistence was to allow you to contest the elections, no matter what, which is beyond my control. Misinformation was spread in the community that I called the police. The truth is that the police were present there since morning to ensure that whatever happened, they would be present. No untoward incident should happen, either by the people accompanying you or anyone else.”
In response, his wife wrote, “Respected husband Pawan Singh Ji, what is true and what is false – our God-like public also has the right to know this. Whether we are right or you are right, tomorrow we will sit together in front of the media. You sit and I will also sit, because this is no longer a matter confined within the four walls.”
She further said, “I know I can prove my point. If you can do the same, then come before our God-like people and speak openly. As far as the election is concerned, if you accept me as your wife for life, then I will not contest the election, because we do not believe in using our own people for power. As for your ‘one and a half hour sitting’, all the footage of my arrival and departure from your flat is available on CCTV.”
