Hearing his cries, his mother, Ramsheree, rushed to help. As soon as she touched her son, she too was electrocuted. Within moments, his father arrived at the scene and also became a victim of the electric current while trying to intervene.
Their screams drew the attention of Dharmendra’s elder brother who used a dry wooden stick to remove the live wire from the power socket. Unfortunately, by then, Dharmendra had already died.
Basudev was seriously injured and was rushed to the district hospital. Ramshree is reported to be stable.
Station House Officer (SHO) Alok Kumar Pandey confirmed the incident and stated that Dharmendra died due to electrocution while plugging in a mobile charger. The father is currently under treatment, and the mother is recovering at home.
