Chairman Radhakrishnan to hold maiden meeting with leaders of all parties in Rajya Sabha

Vice-President and Rajya Sabha Chairman C. P. Radhakrishnan will hold a meeting with the leaders of all the parties in the Upper House on Tuesday.

It will be Mr Radharkrishnan’s maiden meeting with the leaders of all parties after he assumed charge as the Chairman of the Upper House.

The meeting is being held for an exchange of views on how to facilitate the smooth functioning of the House and structured discussions without disruptions, thereby optimising both the time and the quality of debates.

Union Health & Family Welfare Minister and Leader of the House Jagat Prakash Nadda, Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, and Ministers of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal and L. Murugan, are among those who have been invited for the meeting.
