Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will lead an Indian parliamentary delegation to the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) in Bridgetown, Barbados, from October 5 to 12, the Lok Sabha secretariat said in a press release on Sunday. The conference will bring together parliamentarians from Commonwealth countries to discuss key issues.

The other Indian delegates, among others, include Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh and MPs Anurag Sharma and D Purandeswari.

During the visit, the Speaker will also hold bilateral meetings and interact with his counterparts from other commonwealth countries to discuss matters of mutual interest and parliamentary cooperation.
