On October 4, Anshula shared glimpses from her Gor Dhana ceremony. It is a traditional Gujarati pre-wedding ritual that marks the official union of two families.
The function welcomed close friends and the ever-present Kapoor family, who turned up in full support.
But one particular moment left everyone talking. In a now-viral video, Maheep Kapoor, wife of Sanjay Kapoor, was performing the ‘tel madha’ ritual with Anshula and Rohan. Mothers or elder women in the family usually carry out this ritual.
Fans quickly picked up on the emotional detail, praising her for stepping in as a maternal figure for Anshula in the absence of her late mother, Mona, who passed away in 2012.
Anshula herself made sure her mother’s memory was a part of the celebration. She wore a specially designed outfit. And, hidden at the back was the phrase ‘Rab Rakha’. She embroidered it carefully into the garment.
In her caption, Anshula revealed that these were her mother’s words. Those were something Mona always said and believed in. It was her way of keeping her mother’s blessings close on one of the most important days of her life.
