These numbers highlight how the initiative is inspiring young people to pursue their ambitions and achieve self-reliance. Jaunpur leads the state in extending the scheme’s benefits, followed by Azamgarh in second place and Kaushambi in third.

Across the country, Uttar Pradesh under the Yogi government stands out not only for creating jobs for its youth but also for equipping them to become successful entrepreneurs. As a result, young people in the state are not just building their own businesses but also driving positive social change. In this context, the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan is emerging as a key initiative for empowering youth and fostering entrepreneurship.

Under the scheme, with a target of 1.5 lakh for the financial year 2025-26, as many as 255,174 youth have applied for loans in just six months across the state, out of which 208,097 applications have been forwarded to banks. Among these, 64,673 applications have been approved by banks, and 63,009 youths have already been distributed loans for self-employment.

Jaunpur district secured the top position in Uttar Pradesh by distributing the highest number of loans under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan. District Magistrate of Jaunpur Dr Dinesh Chandra Singh stated that the scheme aims to provide self-employment opportunities to the state’s youth. In line with CM Yogi’s vision, a special campaign is being conducted in the district to connect young people with banks and facilitate loan distribution.

He added that the district has been given a target of providing loans to 2,250 youths under the campaign in the current financial year. In contrast, over the past six months, 5,999 applications were received, of which 4,784 were forwarded to banks. Of these, loans have already been distributed to 2,003 applicants. District Magistrate Singh also said that Jaunpur has achieved the highest loan distribution to youths in the past six months across the state, securing the first rank.

Similarly, Azamgarh ranked second in the state in extending the benefits of the scheme. Against its target of 2,250 for the current financial year, the district received 5,112 applications in just six months. Of these, 4,285 were forwarded to banks, and 1,859 loans have already been disbursed.

The District Magistrate of Kaushambi said that in line with CM Yogi Adityanath’s vision, a special campaign is being run to connect youths with self-employment under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan. To maximise youth participation in the scheme, monthly meetings are being held with banks to resolve any issues related to the scheme promptly.
