Vice President CP Radhakrishnan on Sunday emphasised the significance of ‘dharma’ in maintaining unity across India’s diverse linguistic regions. Addressing the valedictory session of the third edition of Unmesha – International Literature Festival in Patna, as the Chief Guest, Radhakrishnan stated that despite the country’s varied languages, ‘dharma’ serves as a common thread that binds the nation together, fostering unity and social harmony.
The event, which was also attended among others by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, and Tourism Minister Raju Kumar Singh, showcased the rich cultural heritage of India through literary discussions and performances.

During his address, Radhakrishnan also reflected on his past involvement with socialist leader Jayaprakash Narayan and shared his camaraderie with Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, highlighting their historical ties in politics. Paying tribute to Jayaprakash Narayan, Radhakrishnan recalled his participation in the Sampoorna Kranti movement and his role as a district general secretary.
